The BSIT program provides a broad-based education that integrates the practical and conceptual approach providing students with a solid foundation in information technology arena. The objective of the program is to develop professionals who understand the role of information in organizations and have the necessary skills in information system and information technology. Special emphasis is placed on the analysis, configuration, programming, and database aspects of the design and implementation of a computer-based business information system. Students in this program will demonstrate their knowledge of the systems development life cycle through the hands-on creation of an applied project to solve an identified business challenge. Completion of this program will enable students to seek careers in information-intensive organizations as information systems designers, systems consultants, IS manager, systems analysts, programmers, network engineers, database administrators, decision support specialists, and systems integrators.
